The most important facts about ICSI

The biggest cost of ICSI is attributed to ovulation stimulator injections. The number of embryos to be transferred depends on the condition of the mother. The lower the chances of pregnancy and the greater the age of the mother, the more embryos that need to be transferred, and even better for the mother.

ICSI success rates

The success rate of ICSI ranges between 40:60%, with an average success rate of 50%, i.e. for every 100 ICSI procedures, only 50 are successful.

The quality of the embryos determines the success rate, and immune diseases lead to the failure of the ICSI process. Studies have shown that the most successful cases of ICSI are cases of delayed delivery of unknown cause. It is worth noting that ICSI is recommended for women if the ovulation reserve is weak or if the pregnancy is advanced.

How to prepare for ICSI

Preparing women for ICSI is one of the most important factors in its success, starting with ultrasound and various medical examinations, including thyroid and ovulation hormones. After the success of artificial insemination, the woman’s pregnancy becomes a normal pregnancy, parallel to the natural way. If the cervix is short in length, the attending physician will perform cervical cerclage in case of pregnancy and close follow-up of the pregnancy with a specialist. Pregnant women can deliver via ICSI through vaginal delivery, but it is usual to perform a caesarean section for maximum safety.

When do we use ICSI?

  • Delayed pregnancy due to the husband, such as severe weakness and lack of sperm, because poor sperm production or poor movement and function makes it difficult for the sperm to fertilize the egg
  • Reasons for the wife such as:-
    • Fallopian tube damage or blockage.
    • Ovulation problems.
    • Cases in which uterine tissue grows and grows outside the uterus, or the so-called endometriosis, which affects the function of the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes.
    • Tie the fallopian tubes.
    • Cases of genetic diseases if the husband is at risk of transmitting the genetic disease to the child.
    • Preserving fertility in cases of receiving chemotherapy and radiation.
    • Wife’s age.
    • Delayed pregnancy is unknown cause.

Alpha centers methods to increase the success rates of microscopic injections

In Alpha Centers, under the leadership and supervision of Professor Dr. Muhammad Moqbel, we are always keen on the quality of assisted fertilization methods and strive for continuous development to provide the latest technologies to assist in the success of ICSI and IVF.

We present to you the most important methods used in our centers to ensure the highest levels of success of ICSI and to bring happiness to every home that dreams of good and virtuous offspring.

We urge in our centers not to delay in making the decision to inject ICSI because time is a very important factor in determining the success of the operation, especially the age of the mother.

In the laboratories of Alpha Centers, we use advanced incubators to preserve embryos, which represent a breakthrough in the science of assisted fertilization, as we provide the appropriate atmosphere and appropriate natural conditions for them.

We emphasize the need to perform a diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy before proceeding with ICSI to diagnose and treat any problems in the uterine cavity that may affect the immersion of embryos in it and thus affect the success rate of the ICSI process.

We repeat the ICSI process if it is not successful after studying the reasons that led to the failure of the first time to avoid infection
